Edwardsburg kickers top ’Cats, Bees

Ally McIntee scored a pair of first half goals to help lift Edwardsburg to a 5-0 Lakeland Conference soccer victory over visiting Brandywine Tuesday.

The win kept Edwardsburg undefeated in league matches (4-0).

Jennifer Sporleder added a goal and an assist for the Eddies, who outshot the Bobcats 22-0.

Alexandra Wilson had 17 saves for Brandywine.

BRIDGMAN – The Edwardsburg soccer team improve to 3-0 in Lakeland Conference play by defeating the host Bridgman Bees 2-0 last Thursday.

The Eddies came out strong and kept attacking until Jennifer Sporleder found the back of the net off of a pass from Ally McIntee, 16 minutes into the first half.

The next goal game came in the 38th minute of the first half by McIntee.

Strong defensive efforts throughout the game by the Eddies allowed for the shutout against the Bees.

Edwardsburg outshot Bridgman 6-3. Sophie Devenney had three saves for the Eddies and Taylor Sokoloskis had three for the Bees.
