NILES - The fifth annual Milano's Cancer Golf Outing was held May 20 at Hampshire Country Club and, again, was a big success.
A total of $15,001 was raised this year, surpassing last year's total of $14,300. All monies raised will go Hospice, Berrien County Cancer Services, the American Cancer Society and local residents affected by cancer.
Korrie Krueger, manager of Milano's and co-founder of the golf outing and her father, Nick Graziani, both agreed that without the help of the local sponsors, this outing wouldn't be possible.
First place winners in this year's outing were Pat Dowling, Fred Krueger, Jim Butler and John Hoskins. Second place went to Jerry Simons, Randy Ruiter, Jim Hoekstra and Erik Hansen and third place went to Mike Loupee, Rory Iawanik, Rob Edmondson and Chris Clark.
Nick Gessinger was the winner of the $550 travel voucher, which was donated by Fred Krueger of Krueger Spetic &Excavating.
