Buchanan wins seventh consecutive regional tennis title

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - For the seventh straight year, the Buchanan Bucks laid claim to the boys' Division 4 Regional Tennis championship.
The Bucks edged Otsego 27-26 to capture the championship at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind.
Dowagiac and Paw Paw tied for third place with 12 points, while Edwardsburg was fifth with 11 points.
Berrien Springs, Bridgman, Brandywine, Coloma, Cassopolis, Lake Michigan Catholic and Eau Claire rounded out the order of finish.
The Bucks grabbed flight championships at No. 1 singles, No. 4 singles, No. 1 doubles, No. 2 doubles and No. 4 doubles.
True Sulier defeated Otsego's Shane Peete 6-1 and 6-3 at No, 1 singles, while Brad Burns defeated Otsego's Matt Tompkins at No. 4 singles, 6-2 and 6-3.
The Bucks' No, 1 doubles team of Andrew Gordon and Mario Bonardi defeated Otsego's Nick Griggs and Jordan Schreuder, 6-4 and 6-4.
Dillon Bailey and Eric Lentz defeated Otsego's Ben Hiemstra and Nick Moeller at No. 2 doubles, 3-6, 6-2 and 7-5.
Buchanan's final flight victory came at No. 4 doubles where Josh Niven and Andrew Scoggin defeated Paw Paw's Mike Russell and Sergio DeMorais, 5-7, 6-1 and 6-3.
