Bucks swept by Bridgman

BUCHANAN - Buchanan's varsity baseball team suffered a pair of Lakeland Conference losses Tuesday afternoon as the visiting Bridgman Bees completed the sweep.
In the opener the Bees handed the Bucks a 9-4 loss and in the nightcap, it was a five inning, 12-0 win by the Bees.
Inthe first game, Buchanan took an early one run lead after plateing a run in the second inning.
A four-run third by the Bees followed by three more runs in the fourth put the game away for Bridgman.
Zac Nemitz picked up the win allowing nine hits through seven innings.
Buchanan's Mitchell Plott started the game and was tagged with the loss. Jon Mondschein took the mound in relief of Plott.
The Bees scored a single run in each of the fifth and sixth innings to take a 9-1 lead.
Buchanan pushed a run across in the sixth and two more in the seventh for the final 9-4 score.
In the nightcap, Bridgman scored 12 runs on 10 hits to take the five inning victory.
Dan Ponegalek allowed just one hit for the 12-0 victory.
Aaron Koziel took the loss on the hill with Buddy Williams taking over in relief for the Bucks, who drop to 8-15 and 4-9 in the LAC.
