Niles baseball, softball district pairings announced

NILES - The 2006 Michigan High School Athletic Association softball and baseball district tournament pairings have been announced.
Coloma will be the host of the year's tournament, which will feature the Vikings, St. Joe, Lakeshore and South Haven.
In softball action, Niles drew a first round bye along with St. Joseph. The two will meet on Saturday, June 3 at 10 a.m.
Coloma also drew a first round bye and will face the winner of the Lakeshore/South Haven game on June 3 at noon.
The final two teams will play for the district title at 2 p.m. on June 3.
The Niles baseball team also drew a first round bye and will play St. Joseph on Saturday, June 3 at noon.
The winner will advance to the finals, which are being played at 2 p.m. on June 3.
Lakeshore and South Haven will meet at 5 p.m. on May 30, with the winner advancing to play Coloma on June 3 at 10 a.m. The winner will advance to the finals.
