NILES - The Niles varsity baseball team hosted Mishawaka Saturday afternoon and suffered a 2-1 loss.
Joe Stratton took the win on the mound for the Caveman, while Josh Beers took the loss. Beers had five strikeouts and allowed two walks.
Drew Donohue was the lone top hitter for the Vikings with two singles.
