Lady ‘Cats face tough competition at Adams Invitational Saturday

NILES - The Brandywine varsity softball team posted a 1-2 record at the South Bend Adams Invitational Saturday.
The Bobcats lost their first game of the day to Boone Grove, 3-0.
Lauren Dehnert was the winning pitcher for Boone Grove, while Kelli Zache suffered the loss.
In the second game, Brandywine made up for the loss with a big 10-3 win over Michigan City.
Kendra Zache was the winning pitcher, bringing her record to 2-0 on the season. Missy Johnson took the loss.
Top hitters were Brooke Coshow with a triple and a single and Kendra Zache with a double and a single.
In the final game against host Adams, the Bobcats fell 5-1. The only run of the game came in the top of the first inning.
Laura Magliozzi took the win for the Eagles, while Kelli Zache (5-3) suffered the loss. Kendra Zache also pitched in the final game.
