Buchanan tennis blows by Cassopolis, 8-0

NILES - The Buchanan varsity tennis team had no problem grabbing its first Lakeland Conference win Wednesday against Cassopolis.
The Bucks, now 1-0 in the conference, posted an 8-0 win over the Rangers.
Harper Sulier took a 6-0, 7-5 win over Cass' Aaron Brown at No. 1 singles. At No. 2 singles, Mario Bonardi won by forfeit against Zach Flora.
Ryan Skene took a 6-1, 6-0 win over Mario Peterson at No. 3 singles and Brad Burns grabbed a 6-0, 6-0 win over Thomas Wilson at No. 4 singles.
At No. 1 doubles, Andrew Gordon and True Sulier took a 6-0, 6-0 win over Brian Davis and Austin Antisdel.
Dillon Bailey and Andrew Scoggin claimed a 6-0, 6-0 win over Melvin Moore and Josh Henry at No. 2 doubles.
The No. 3 doubles team of Sean Thornton and Andrew Frederick and the No. 4 doubles team of Eric Lentz and Josh Niven both won by forfeit.
Buchanan will travel to Lowell on Saturday for its next match, set to begin at 9:30 a.m.
