John Edward Schmidt, Sr., 70, of Niles, died as the result of an accidental fire on Thursday, March 30 at 8:30 a.m.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 6 at 2 p.m. at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. at Hoven Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
Memorials may be made to the Niles Township Fire Department.
