James E. Thompson, 79, of Colony Court, Niles, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 26, at his home, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Trinity Episcopal Church, Niles, with the Rev. Richard R. Swanson of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, Dowagiac officiating.
Burial will be at Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles.
Friends may call beginning at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
A veterans flag ceremony will follow the funeral Thursday in the churchyard, by the American Legion Post No. 26, Niles.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
