NILES - In the case of Studio 28 Nails, the name does not say it all. Owner Tina Green described her new location as a “full service beauty salon.”
The Niles resident and her business at 28 N. Fourth St. was welcomed to the downtown neighborhood Thursday morning with a grand opening ceremony courtesy of the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce. The name of the business came from its address, Green said.
Besides nail enhancements, manicures and pedicures, Green said Studio 28 Nails offers haircuts, perms, ear piercing and more. Green also does her own nail art, which she said follows today's trends. And, every service is provided by Green herself in her cosy shop on the corner.
Green was trained in nail care at the Tennessee School of Beauty in Knoxville and in hair styling at the Vogue Beauty College in Mishawaka, Ind. Plus, she has worked professionally at Hair Connection of Michiana in South Bend, Ind., she said.
Her passion for the job is fueled by the response of the customer, she said.
