On Super Bowl Sunday the library held a three hour book sale during which more than 7,600 books went out the door. On Valentines Day, the Friends of Niles District Library gave away nearly 900 romance paperbacks. Patrons will have more opportunities to build their personal libraries during April.
It isn't too late to participate in the Adult Winter Reading Program. If you have read 10 books since the first of the year, you can sign up to be in the drawing for 100 pounds of books to be given away on Wednesday, April 5. Ask the staff at the information desk for more information on this program.
On Saturday, April 8 the Friends will hold their spring booksale. The basement is filled with thousands of books which will be sold at just 25 cents each. The sale is open to the public. Friends members are invited to a preview sale on April 6.
