Dowagiac boys beat New Buffalo 54-45 for first win of season

DOWAGIAC — The Dowagiac boys basketball team tasted victory Tuesday night in front of its home crowd.

The Chieftains defeated New Buffalo 54-45 and snapped a 10-game losing streak to pick up their first win of the season. Dowagiac led 24-20 at halftime.

Leading the way for Dowagiac was Isaiah Fitchett with 17 points and Jamal Williams and Braylon Wade scored 11 points apiece. Lucas Forker 16 led New Buffalo with 16 points.

Dowagiac
(1-10,0-4) faces Benton Harbor at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23 on the road.
