June 20, 1964 – January 5, 2025
Marcy Burdue was born on June 20, 1964, to Jerald and Mary Ann Burdue. Her kindness radiated freely to everyone she encountered.
Marcy was an avid reader, having read all the books by Stephen King (including those written under his pen names), a frequent concert-goer (Ozzy was her all-time favorite), and a halfway-decent bowler. She enjoyed fishing and found great joy and peace in the Great Lakes. Most of all, she was a fantastic mother to Jerrid and an adopted grandmother to Blane, Londyn, and Lincoln. She and Jerrid would often play “lost” when he was young, driving without a destination in mind to various restaurants and providing unofficial reviews. She encouraged her son to be his true self and allowed him to try anything—after all, if it was an experiment, it was okay. From taking up the carpet and working on the hardwood floors when he was in high school to texting his wife to ask if she was also watching him on YouTube learning the sport of curling, Marcy was, without a doubt, the most supportive of mothers. She taught those close to her the true meaning of unconditional love.
She is survived by her son, Jerrid (Natalie) Burdue; her father, Jerald Burdue; and close friends who are considered family, including Lisa Chappell-Guyott, Nicole Osban-Peck, Blane Belakovich, Londyn Peck, and Lincoln Peck.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Mary Ann Burdue; her brother, Kerry Burdue; and her beloved dog, Nikki.
