NILES — A nonprofit is helping local entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses.

Emerge Innovation Hub recently launched in Niles and is gearing up to host its next meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 at Apothica Teas. The hub meets the second Tuesday of every month at Apothica Teas to connect new and aspiring entrepreneurs and to share ideas and support over food and music.

Founded by Andrew Robison and Regional Director Ambie Bell – out of Benton Harbor – Emerge Innovation Hub to life aims to create a transformative space where under-resourced and disadvantaged entrepreneurs can access the tools, support and community needed to launch and grow their businesses. After three years of success in Benton Harbor, the vision expanded with the launch of the Niles Hub in January of 2024.

Niles Hub Director KC Johnson said she has been inspired to witness what she calls the life-changing impact the hub has had on local entrepreneurs.

“By providing invaluable resources, sharing essential tools, and cultivating a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and even family, the hub has become a cornerstone for the entrepreneurial community in and around Niles,” she said. “We’re thrilled to continue empowering dreams and building success stories as we move into another exciting year.”
