Richard F. Van Tuyl, 78, of Niles, died at 5:43 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, at Lakeland Hospital-Niles, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 2, at The Mausoleum Chapel at Mission Hills, Niles, with the Rev. Joseph W. Koma C.S.C., of Saint Mark Catholic Church, officiating. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles. There will be an Escort and Honor Guard by the Niles City Police Department and full Military Honors following the funeral by the American Legion Post No. 51, of Buchanan.
The family would like to request that contributions in the memory of Richard F. Van Tuyl may be made to the Children's Department of the Niles District Library.
