Dowagiac earns 63-6 road win over Benton Harbor

BENTON HARBOR — The Dowagiac football team ran over and around host Benton Harbor Friday night.
The Chieftains dominated in all phrases to the tune of a 63-6 win over the Tigers in Lakeland Conference play. Dowagiac led 42-6 at halftime.
LaMone Moore tallied 13 carries for 133 yards and four touchdowns and Kaleb Smith had six carries for 139 yards and one touchdown and Devin Rock added five carries for 71 yards and one touchdown. On defense, Cooper Symczack had eight tackles, Quentin Hill four tackles, one sack and one forced fumble and Cal Chapman had four tackles and Jamal Williams added two tackles and one interception.
With the win in hand, Dowagiac has earned a 4-1 start to the season for the second year in a row. The Chieftains will host Brandywine at 7 p.m. Friday
