Brandywine falls to Berrien Springs 63-16 in Lakeland Conference opener

BERRIEN SPRINGS — The Brandywine football team found tough sledding against the Shamrocks of Berrien Springs Friday night, falling 63-16 in Lakeland Conference play. The Bobcats trailed 56-8 at halftime.
Kaeden Warfield completed 2 of 4 passes for 44 yards, one touchdown and an interception while carrying the ball 14 times for 70 yards and one touchdown. Carter Sobecki added 44 yards on 12 carries and Kaden Santana grabbed a 44-yard touchdown pass.
On defense, Sobecki tallied 24 tackles.
The Bobcats (0-4,0-1) face rival Buchanan (2-2,1-0) at 7 p.m. Friday in the Bobcats’ homecoming game.
