Holloway wins bull riding, Ouwinga barrel racing

CASSOPOLIS — Bryar Holloway captured first place in bull riding during the Superkickers Rodeo Round Em Up Summer Tour’s stop at the Cass County Fair Monday night.
The rodeo kicked off a full week of grandstand events.
Tuesday night the National Tractor Puller’s Association hit the dirt with tractor and truck pulls. Wednesday night features the ATV Big Air Tour, while on Thursday, Blammo is live in concert.
The week wraps up with the always popular T-N-T Demolition Derby on Friday, and the Mud Mitten Race Series on Saturday.
All shows are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Holloway finished with 85 points, while Jayson Debaeke was the runner-up with 72 points.
Holloway currently leads the 2024 bull riding standings. standings with 2,856 points. Dabaeke leads the novice standings with 820 points.
In Cowgirl barrel racing, Bunitta Ouwinga was first with a time of 14.364 and Hope Hulsebos was the runner-up with a time of 14.616.
Nicole Rawlings took third (14.799), Angela Farris fourth (14.918) and Nicole Dubord fifth (15.065).
Ouwinga is currently third in the overall barrel racing standings with 1,395 points.
