Man dies in reported Juno Lake drowning

MASON TOWNSHIP — A man has died after drowning in Juno Lake in Mason Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that at approximately 9:53 p.m. Sunday, his office was called for a man that had fallen out of a Kayak in Juno Lake in.
Investigation shows that a male was fishing in a kayak when he fell out of the kayak and was unable to swim. The Cass County Marine Division/ Dive Team was called to the scene. The Cass County Marine Deputies and Dive Team, along with the Indian Lake Dive Team were able to locate and recover the male kayaker. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A Lifejacket was not worn. Alcohol may have been a factor in this incident. This incident remains under investigation.
Assisting with this incident were SEPSA Fire, SEPSA Ambulance, Indian Lake Fire and Dive Team, and Penn Fire/Drone.
