Area well represented in Division 3 All-Star Game

GRAND RAPIDS — Buchanan will be well represented at the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association All-Star Game at Davenport University July 17.
Hannah Herman, who is headed to Michigan State University, and Hailee Kara, a Western Michigan University signee, will play for the Division 3 Red squad in the all-state game.
Buchanan’s Rachel Carlson will coach the Red team with Clinton’s Kim Phillip.
The Bucks’ Camille Lozmack, who has signed with Alma College, will be on the Division 3 White squad, along with Brandywine’s Chloe Parker, who will attend Central Michigan University in the fall.
That team will be coached by Tom Birchmeier, of New Lothrop, and Ron Poyer, of Chesaning.
In the Division 4, Marcellus’ Clare Flory will play on the White squad.
The Division 2 game will get the day started at 10 a.m. It will be followed by the Division 3 game at noon, the Division 4 game at 2:30 p.m., and wrap up the day with the Division 1 game at 4:30 p.m.
