Rangers’ Brown a two-time all-conference performer

CASSOPOLIS — Jadyn Brown, of Cassopolis, was a two-time All-Southwest 10 Conference track and field honoree.

All-conference selections are based on a person or team’s finish at the league track meet.

Brown was the champion in the 110-meter high hurdles and 300-meter intermediate hurdles.

Kenny May was second team in the high jump, while Max Yoder was second team in the pole vault. Jaylen Pratt earned honorable mention in the high jump, as did the Cassopolis 400-meter relay team. That team consisted of Neelanh Vanhphoumy, Darion Peterson-Evans, Malachi Ward and Aarenn Buck-Harper.

In girls track, the Rangers’ 400-meter relay team of Ryley Bowsher, Ella Smith, Atyanna Alford and Mackenzie Boyer were first-team all-conference after winning the the championship.

Bowsher was also second-team in the long jump. Lily Westrate earned honorable mention status in the 400-meters, as did, Cassopolis’ 800-meter relay team. That unit was made up of Aleah Dahlgren, Alford, Alessa Blanchard and Boyer.

Marcellus’ Addie Curtis was the champion in the 1,600-meters, while Madisyn Harrison won the pole vault title.
