NILES — As the 2023-24 sports season is wrapping up, it is time for athletes to start looking forward to the start of a new year in the fall.

The first step in that process is making sure they have a sports physical before practice begins in August.

Numerous schools have already announced their schedule for physicals, including Buchanan, Niles and Cassopolis.

 

Buchanan Physicals

Buchanan will be having its sports physicals for the 2024-25 season June 26, July 17 and July 29.

Physicals will be given between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Anyone wishing to participate in sports, including practices, must have a physical on file with the Buchanan Athletic Office.

Cost is $55 cash or $60 debit or credit card.

Niles Physicals

Viking athletes may receive a sports physical from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on either July 24 or Aug. 14.

Physicals will be given at Niles High School. Athletes are asked to enter through the student parking lot doors. Cost of the physical is $60 for both high school and middle school students. It includes the physical and a student sports pass to all home and away games.

Forms may be downloaded from nilesvikings.bigteams.com. Athletes are asked to have the forms filled out before their physical.

 

Cassopolis Physicals

Ranger athletes are reminded that they must have a sports physical on file before the first game of practice.
