Thomas Lee Overmyer, 63, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024 in Niles, Michigan.
Tom was born on June 2, 1960 in Rochester, Indiana to Richard Lee Overmyer and Janet Grace (Lowry) Overmyer.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Richard Overmyer.
Left to cherish the memory of Tom is his loving spouse of 32 years, Joseph Shaer; siblings, Tim (John) Overmyer and Todd (Kim) Overmyer; his mother, Janet Overmyer, and many nieces & nephews.
Tom’s passion for life and the outdoors was evident to all who knew him, especially in the joy he found while riding 4-wheelers through the scenic trails that he loved.
With a green thumb and a love for nurturing life, Tom’s garden was a testament to his patience and care, a tranquil retreat that reflected the love and dedication he poured into it. He found peace and companionship in the company of his cats, whose playful antics never failed to bring a smile to his face.
Above all, Tom’s greatest pleasure was in the simple moments spent with his family and friends. His warmth, laughter, and the memories created during these precious times will be cherished and remembered by all. Tom’s legacy is one of love, joy, and the enduring bonds of friendship.
Services for Tom will be held privately at a later date.
