DOWAGIAC — The American Red Cross will be on site in Dowagiac Thursday afternoon to assist those impacted by the tornado in the Twin Lakes area of Dowagiac.

A mobile canteen will be set up at Voas Park, located at the corner of Twin Shore Drive and Park Court, on the southwest corner of Big Twin Lake.

Residents are encouraged to utilize this service.

The tornado that hit the Twin Lakes neighborhood was categorized Wednesday evening as an EF-1 tornado. Midwest Energy and Communications continues to work to restore power to the area.
