Brandywine takes two from Chieftains

NILES — The Brandywine baseball team made short work of visiting Dowagiac in Lakeland Conference play Tuesday.
The Bobcats swept the Chieftains 19-0 and 10-0.
In the opener, Brandywine scored 11 runs in the first inning and never looked back. The game ended after three innings due to the 15-run rule.
Kylar Marshall had a pair of doubles, while Drew Deming also doubled for the Bobcats.
Jaremiah Palmer tripled.
Robby Dillard tossed a one-hitter for the victory.
In the nightcap, Dillard and Marshall combined on a no-hitter.
Ryder Richard had three hits and drove in three runs for the Bobcats.
