After a scoreless first half in the season opener for the Bobcats and the second match for Buchanan, the Bucks exploded for four goals in the second half, led by Overmyer’s three goals. Evyn Pruett scored the other goal for Buchanan, which will face host Hartford in a non-conference at the VanDenBerg Soccer Complex Wednesday.
“Our second game of the season went well,” said Buchanan Coach Russell Philip. “We are still trying to get chemistry with our midfield and find the best shape for our team. The girls played tough and held strong defensively in the first half ending in a 0-0 tie. An early goal in the second half led to a strong finish. Looking forward to seeing what this team can do.”
