Rangers top Huskies in Southwest 10 contest 38-24

CASSOPOLIS — Offense was at a premium Thursday night in the Southwest 10 Conference boys basketball game between Hartford and host Cassopolis.
The Rangers outscored the Huskies 22-7 in the second half to earn a 38-24 victory. Both teams had at least one quarter where it scored five points or less.
Cassopolis jumped out to a 14-5 lead after the opening eight minutes, but was held to two points in the second quarter as Hartford cut the lead to 17-16 at halftime.
The Rangers scored 11 points in each of the final two quarters, while the Huskies scored four and three points, respectively.
Jadyn Brown led Cassopolis with 12 points. Malachi Ward added 11 points and Tre Peterson Evans eight points. Kenny May finished the night with seven points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
