THREE RIVERS — The Dowagiac wrestling team went 3-2 and Niles was 1-4 at the Three Rivers Super Duals Saturday.

The Chieftains defeated Hartford 51-30, Lawton 45-33 and Niles 48-36. Dowagiac lost to Constantine 58-15 and to Portage Northern 39-36.

Going 5-0 on the day was AJ Munson (113), while Cinthia Villegas (132) was 2-0. Cameron White (138) and Cal Chapman (285) were both 4-1.

Niles defeated Coldwater 47-24, but lost to Portage Northern 39-24, Dowagiac, Constantine 65-15 and Hartford on criteria after tying 42-42.

Going undefeated on the day was Korbin Hughes (5-0) at 106-pounds. Sam Rucker (175) and Julia Means-Flewellen (190) were 4-1.

 

Hillsdale Invitational

The Brandywine wrestling team was 0-4 at the Hillsdale Invitational Saturday.

The Bobcats were defeated by Blissfield 48-20, Decatur 66-18, Hillsdale 57-21 and Quincy 33-22.

Going undefeated on the day was Gavin Schoff (157/165), who went 4-0 and remains undefeated on the season and Kaiden Rieth (132). Josh Patrolia went 3-0.

 

Zach Ford Duals

Buchanan was 3-2 at the Zach Ford Duals at Mattawan High School Saturday.

The Bucks defeated the Mattawan B team 60-22, St. Joseph 39-30 and Parchment 70-6.

Buchanan was defeated by Mattawan 51-21 and Portage Northern 40-39. The Huskies won on criteria.

Going undefeated on the day for the Bucks were Leland Payne (157), Lucas Zeiger (190), Drew Andersen (215) and Dean Roberts (285).
