Russell L. Smith, 81, of Ferndale Boulevard, in Niles, died at 11:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Campbell's Personal Care Home, in Lakeville, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, at Halbritter Funeral Home, in Niles, with Pastor Carl L. Harrison of Trinity United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, in Niles. Family will receive friends at 2 p.m., one hour prior to the services, on Saturday, at the funeral home. A veteran's flag presentation and taps by the American Legion Post No. 26, in Niles, will follow the funeral.
Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Associated Disorders or to any Hospice organization.
