NILES — Four players in double figures helped host Niles remain undefeated in Wolverine Conference play Friday night.
The Vikings (2-2) raced out to a 23-2 lead after one quarter, and cruised to a 62-52 win over Otsego.
Niles held a 22-point (33-11) halftime lead before the Bulldogs (2-1, 1-1 Wolverine) came storming back in the second half.
Otsego cut the Niles advance to 47-31 by the end of the third quarter, and outscored the Vikings 21-15 in the final eight minutes, but could not overcome the first-quarter deficit.
Brayden Favors led the balanced Niles offense with 15 points, while Mike Phillips Jr. added 12 points. Quinton King Jr. and Ethan Chambliss both finished with 11 points. Brenden Olsen had nine points.
Blake marks scored a game-high 19 points to lead Otsego.
The Vikings return to the court Tuesday when they head to Vicksburg for another Wolverine Conference contest.
