Feb. 26. 2021-June 20, 2022
Lanora Quinn Blankenship, 1 year, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, at Elkhart General.
On February 26, 2021, Lanora made her grand appearance in Elkhart, Indiana to Breanne Blankenship. Even though Lanora was born with some health issues, she was a fighter and she brought great joy into her family’s life for the 15 months she spent with them.
She was a huge fan of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and her eyes would light up when the movie, Coco would play. Lanora, although small in stature, made a big impact on those around her. Her and her sister Sophia had a very special relationship, and she was the queen of snuggle time at the Blankenship home.
Lanora is survived by her mother and step-father Breanne and James Blankenship of Granger, her siblings; Lexus Rollf, Sophia Blankenship, James “L.J.” Blankenship, Jr., her maternal grandparents; Patricia McMichael of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Thomas Dutrieux of Jacksonville, Florida, her maternal great-grandparents, Mary Lou (Carl Bennett) Dutrieux of Mishawaka, and Virginia Sherk of Berrien Springs. She will also be greatly missed by aunts; Julie (Jan Stokes-Faber) Dutrieux, Laurie Johnson and Amber Wheaton.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation in honor of Lanora may do so to Brown Funeral Home for the family.
