Yes, it's true. This Saturday, Buchanan's basketball teams will take on Georgetown, Ontario on the Bucks' home court.
The junior varsity game is set to begin at 1:30 p.m., with varsity following 20 minutes after that.
The original time was 6 p.m., but Georgetown wanted to enjoy some of the events this area has to offer and are attending a Notre Dame game Saturday night.
The team isn't just traveling down south to play Buchanan. On Friday night, they will take on Mishawaka (Ind.)
How did this happen?
Last year, Buchanan played in a tournament in Traverse City, which counted as two away games.
The team decided not to return this year and needed to add two homes games to its schedule.
Buchanan's Athletic Director Joe Austin stated that he put the open dates on the MHSAA web site, and Kalamazoo Christian and Georgetown both responded.
