NILES - After a rough start at the beginning of the season, Brandywine's varsity volleyball team is starting to come around.
The Bobcats grabbed three wins in a row Wednesday evening against Cassopolis for a Lakeland Conference win.
Brandywine, now 2-9-2 overall, won the first game 25-17, the second game 25-19 and the final game 25-22.
In the final game, the Rangers made the Bobcats work for most of their points.
The score seesawed back and fourth throughout the match, and at one point Cass went ahead by four, 21-17.
But Brandywine rallied and took advantage of some defensive and offensive errors caused by the Rangers.
Nikki Martyniuk had eight kills on the night, while Kendra Zache and Brooke Allen each had five.
Martyniuk and Zache also had two blocks each.
Missy Cooper had 13 assists, while Emily Low added 10 and Kelli Zache had three aces and two digs for the Bobcats.
Brandywine will travel to the Gobles Invitational on Saturday.
