NILES - Our first set of college football bowl games have concluded and no one had a perfect 10-0 record.
Congressman Fred Upton, R-St. Joseph, Buchanan varsity basketball coach Reid McBeth, Brandywine head football coach Terry Borr and Daily Star Sports Editor Erika Pickles all went 9-1.
Going 8-2 were Buchanan Athletic Director Joe Austin, Daily Star Publisher Jan Griffey, Niles varsity volleyball coach Jami Foster, Brandywine School Board Member Dennis Cooper, Niles-Buchanan YMCA Senior Program Director Andre Gresham and Niles student Colin Smith.
Niles High School head football coach Dave Janicki was the lone forecaster to go 7-3, while Niles High School Assistant Principal Molly Brawley went 4-6.
Pickles still stands in first place with a 112-38 record, but Borr isn't far behind in second with a 110-40 record.
In third place is Cooper with a 109-41 record, while Janicki holds fourth place with a 108-42 record.
Fifth place belongs to McBeth who stands at 107-43, while Upton is in sixth with a 105-45 record.
In seventh place is Foster with a 104-46 record, while Austin and Smith are tied at ninth with 102-48 records.
Brawley holds the 11th place spot with a 96-54 record, while Griffey is in 12th with an 88-62 record.
Bowl season continues tonight with Minnesota taking on Virginia at noon; Northwestern taking on UCLA at 2 p.m.; South Carolina facing Missouri at 3:30 p.m.; and Miami taking on LSU at 7:30 p.m.
