Request made to Niles School Board

NILES - It was a light night at the Niles Community Schools Board of Education agenda planning meeting Monday.
The board will also look at bids for the maintenance of portions of the roofs on Northside Child Development Center and Ring Lardner Middle School.
The board will also authorize the district to seek bids for the purchase of three 83 passenger buses.
Finally pending approval from the state the board will be voting on the official bond issue language which will be on the ballot for the Feb. 28, 2006 election.
The district is asking community members to approve a $105 million millage with which a new high school will be constructed and renovations and additions will be made to other building in the district. The proposal also calls for the closing of four buildings in the district which include Cedar Lane, Westside, Eastside and Ellis.
