NILES - Niles' varsity volleyball team has a lot to offer this year.
Although the Vikes lost four strong seniors from last year's squad, they return seven players with experience.
Returning this year are sophomores Karly Kennedy, Samantha Brawley and Kaylynn Stephenson, juniors Leigh Tyler and Mehgan Flynn and seniors Brittney Passig and Claire Molnar.
Julie Kater and Kayla Cooper are also two seniors who are new to this year's team.
Foster also stated that Niles is very balanced and she feels the depth on the team will help the Vikings win matches.
Last season, Niles ended with a 17-20-4 record and its first match of the district tournament to St. Joseph.
They did win one game. However the top ranked Bears held off the Vikes to cut their season shorter than they would have liked.
Niles will open it season on Saturday, Dec. 10 when it hosts the Niles Round Robin Tournament set to begin at 9 a.m.
