James White, 68, of Niles, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 9, 2019.
James was born on Dec. 26, 1950, to the late James Sr. and Zula (Sattiewhite) White in San Marcos, Texas.
After graduating from high school in Brethren, Michigan, James went on to join the National Guard and later became a certified mechanic and entrepreneur. James drove truck across the country for five years before he settled and retired in Michigan where his youngest sister resided.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and is survived by his sons James “J.P.” (Sabrina San Clemente) White, of Mesick, Michigan, and James Thomas, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; grandchildren, Keira, Kenyan, Brynlee, Mason, and Makiya, who is due to be born any day; siblings, Roger (Melvina) White, of Savannah, Georgia, Zula (Josh) Ivy, of Okolona, Mississippi, and Mable (William) Lee, of Niles; and a whole host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with James’ wishes, he has been cremated and his family will be remembering him privately.
