PAW PAW — A local organization will be hosting a job fair next month.

With a new school year approaching, Tri-County Head Start is hosting a job and enrollment fair from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at the Head Start office located at 775 Hazen St, Paw Paw.

Tri-County Head Start serves 908 children, birth to age 5, and their families with comprehensive services to ensure the child is ready for kindergarten socially and academically. The organization also works to support families, and communities on the path to success, said officials.

TCHS has locations among Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties in Bangor, Benton Harbor, Cassopolis, Decatur, Dowagiac, Watervliet, Sawyer, Niles, Brandywine, Gobles, Paw Paw, South Haven, New Buffalo, Edwardsburg and Marcellus.

Eligible children are able to receive services at no cost with TCHS. Families interested in enrolling a child should bring proof of birth, well child exam, immunizations and proof of income. Candidates should bring a copy of their resume and be prepared to complete an application and an on-site interview, and dress to impress, organizers said.

The organization is hiring for 40-plus positions, due to its program expanding. Positions include marketing and finance, mental health consultants, family advocates, home visitors, teaching staff, bus staff, full-time substitutes and more.
