Carolyn Irene Moore, 76, of Eau Claire, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at her home.
A celebration of life service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 17, 2019, at Liberty Chapel Pentecostal Church, 309 Dewey St., Dowagiac, with Pastor Mark Saylor officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in Niles. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carolyn’s name may be made to Liberty Chapel Pentecostal Church. Those wishing to leave a condolence online may do so at clarkch.com.
Carolyn was born Jan. 27, 1943, in Benton Harbor, to Vernon and Bertha (Saltzman) Morgan. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1961. On April 14, 1962, she married the love of her life, Larry Moore, in Sumnerville. Carolyn worked as a bus driver for Eau Claire Public Schools for 17 years before her retirement. She also owned and operated her own consignment shop in Dowagiac, Much More for Less, from 2000 to 2010.
Carolyn had a strong faith in God and that was shown through her commitment to Safe Harbor Church in Sodus for 25 years, then she later attended Liberty Chapel Pentecostal Church in Dowagiac.
In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and had made many afghans for her family. Most of all she loved her family, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Larry Moore; children, Keith (Danita) Moore, Jeffrey (Heide) Moore and Toni (Alan) Wilson; grandchildren, Heather, Cody, Jennifer, Tiffany, Jeffrey, Maddie, Hunter, Dylan, Sammie, Meleah, Dustin, Bria, Jessica and Joshawa; seven great-grandchildren, with one on the way; siblings, Tom (Hazel) Morgan, Lester (Maggie) Morgan, Charles (Kathy) Blue, Barbara (Carl) Greenman, Brenda Blue, Wendy (Garvin) Fisher, Trisha Morgan, Dale Morgan, Paul Morgan and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Morgan and Bertha Blue; siblings, William Blue, Barbara Moore and Harlene Wyatt; and great-grandson, Ben Watson.
