CASSOPOLIS — The deadline for Cass County Fair registration is right around the corner.

Hailey Harman, Cass County 4-H program coordinator, is reminding all youth exhibitors of the Cass County Fair of the mandatory registration deadline of midnight June 17.

“The new requirement that all youth registrations must be done online does make it easier for people to do it at times convenient to them, as the system will accept registrations until midnight on June 17. After that magical midnight moment, the system will shut down and will not allow any late entries,” Harman said.

The link for registration is:  blueribbonfair.com/BRFairProd/BlueRibbonStart.aspx?ID=1466.

“Be sure to include the total link,” Harman said. “When I only put in a partial, it took me to a county in another state.”

Anyone not having the ability to register at home can attend one of two remaining help sessions that have been set. Dates are 5:30 to 7 p.m. June 11 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 15.

Both help sessions will be located in the Gregarek Building at the Cass County Fairgrounds.  Those looking to register may also visit the MSU Extension office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. There is no need to call to make an appointment for this service.

Also due on June 17 are mandatory pen reservation forms, which are available at the MSU Extension office or on the Cass County Fair website, mycasscountyfair.com.

“At this time, people either have to bring those pen reservations to us in person or mail them so that we have them in the 4-H office by the end of the day on June 17,” Harman said.

Complete instructions regarding the online registration are also available on the Cass County Fair website, as is the Cass County Fair book.

“We are here to help youth meet this registration deadline, whether they are 4-H members or open youth,” Harman said. “They just have to take the initiative to come see us. We are making every effort to be available for them.”
