Brandywine baseball, softball swept

PARCHMENT — Visiting Brandywine was swept in BCS Athletic Conference baseball and softball by host Parchment Monday.

The Panthers defeated the Bobcats 9-4 and 11-8 in softball. In baseball, Brandywine lost 5-1 and 4-2.

The Bobcats dropped to 13-15-1 overall with the doubleheader loss.

Brandywine had six hits in the first game, all singles, while in the nightcap they finished with 10 hits, including a double by Delani Nelson.

Nelson took the loss in relief of starter Kennedy Bryd in the opening game.

In the nightcap, Haley Scott suffered the loss.

Brandywine baseball

The struggles of the Brandywine baseball team continued Monday as the Bobcats’ losing streak reached six consecutive games. The Bobcats have lost 11 out of their last 12 games.

Parchment took the opener 5-1 as it allowed just four Brandywine hits in both games.

In the nightcap, Connor Janowiak and Jakob Luczkowski both doubled for the Bobcats.
