NILES - Terms for two current Niles Parks and Recreation Board members expire at the end of December and those serving have indicated that they do not wish to be re-appointed.
City of Niles residents interested in serving a four year term as a board member should obtain an application form for appointment to the board by contacting City Clerk Ruth Harte at City Hall, 508 East Main St. (683-4700) or visit the City of Niles website at www.ci.niles.mi.us for an application form.
Members must be registered electors of the City and are appointed by majority vote of the Niles City Council. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at the Niles Fire Department, 1345 East Main St.
