Joshua Charles “Josh” Townsend, 42, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019, in Bloomington, Indiana.

A celebration of life service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2019, at Clark Chapel, 405 Center St., with Rev. Diane Pike officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from noon until the time of service.

Josh was born on Sept. 21, 1976, to Robert Guntle Jr. and Trelese “Connie” Townsend in Niles. He was a fun-loving guy who loved to celebrate everything. One of his favorite things do was host barbeques. Josh was known as a “jack of all trades’ and would help anyone who needed it.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all he loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

Josh is survived by his parents; siblings, Michelle, Adam, Rusty, Justin, Janet, Robert, Pete and Joe; grandmother, Jan Droulliard; grandfather, Robert Guntle Sr.; step-mother, Elaine Starrett, several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
