NILES — The Brandywine tennis team improved to 8-0 overall and 4-0 in BCS Athletic Conference matches after sweeping Buchanan and Berrien Springs.

The Bobcats defeated the Bucks 7-1 last Friday despite the cold and windy weather.

On Monday, Brandywine took advantage of warmer weather, but still windy conditions, to dispatch the Shamrocks 8-0.

Buchanan’s lone victory against Brandywine came at No. 4 singles where Hannah Vergon defeated Gianna Stalla 7-6 and 6-1.

Brandywine’s Megan Schmidt, Laia Puertolas and Kimberly Solloway were all 2-0.

All four Bobcat doubles teams were 2-0 against their opponents.

Brandywine  is back on the court Saturday when they compete in the Kalamazoo Christian tournament.
