2019 Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program pageant to take place Saturday

SOUTHWEST MICHIGAN — Youth will have the chance to compete for pageant titles and a variety of scholarship during the Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bridgman High School Performing Arts Center and include the 11th Mrs. Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program, the 46th Miss Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program and the 28th Miss Southwest Michigan Teen Scholarship.
The program will feature contestants in active wear, evening wear and on-stage question. More than $10,000 will be given away in awards and prizes this weekend.
The special guests in this year’s show will be Miss Southwest Michigan 2018, Brianna Gleason, Miss Southwest Michigan Teen 2018, Ashley Little, Mrs. Southwest Michigan 2016, Sarah Briley. Tickets are $20 available at the door. According to pageant officials, the Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program aims to teach the young people in the greater southwest Michigan area communication, leadership, community service, respect and honor. All scholarships awarded through this program are given to the young people in southwest Michigan only.
