Emma S. Nelson, 100, passed away peacefully on Monday Nov. 28, 2005 at Golden Place in St. Joseph.
Nelson is formerly of Dowagiac.
Theodore Roosevelt had just been elected President, the St. Louis World's Fair and Exposition was winding down and Emma Schmidt was born, all in 1904.
Her family will gather with friends on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at the Groner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, where her service will be led by the Reverend Bill Dobblestein at 2:30 p.m.
She will be laid to rest in Mission Hills Cemetery, Niles.
Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to First United Methodist Church or to the Methodist Children's Home.
