NILES — LifePlan, previously known as the Pregnancy Care Center, has opened a new satellite office in Benton Harbor.

To celebrate the Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce and LifePlan will host a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony from noon until 4 p.m. April 4 with the ribbon cutting taking place at 12:15 p.m. This grand opening will offer the opportunity for attendees to tour the new Benton Harbor office, meet the LifePlan team, and learn more about LifePlan’s extensive list of services.

In celebration of this grand opening, LifePlan Benton Harbor will be hosting a drawing during the grand opening that will provide winners with dinner, dessert, and a movie for two, two Life shirts, and two mugs. Those interested in registering for this drawing should simply visit LifePlan Benton Harbor during normal business hours for a tour or to learn more about LifePlan’s mission and services.

“It is wonderful to finally be open in Benton Harbor,” said Cheri Gamble, Outreach Ministries director. “We want everyone in the St. Joe/Benton Harbor area to know that we are a safe place for women, men, and families to come for support and resources. We always say that when you walk into LifePlan you become part of our family, and we are excited about the many amazing people who will be added to our family as we grow in Benton Harbor.”

LifePlan is a faith-based nonprofit. They have served in the Niles area since 1986. LifePlan offers a variety of services for women, men, babies, and families that include, but are not limited to, medical services, relationship support, “Baby and Me” classes, prenatal/parenting classes, life skills training, men’s mentoring, fatherhood support, post-abortion support, leadership development, and material support. LifePlan is also working to offer screenings for sexually transmitted infections by the end of 2019. All services are free and confidential and will be offered at their new Benton Harbor location as well.    

Following the ribbon cutting and grand opening, LifePlan will also be offering informational mixers from noon until 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 3 and Friday, June 7. These lunchtime mixers will be open to the community and will offer an opportunity to visit the office and learn more about LifePlan as an organization. Lunch will be included during this event.
