Bonnie Kay Lindamood, 81, of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at her home.
A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 51900 Mayflower Road, South Bend, with Pastor Scott Bowie officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Tuesday. Bonnie was born on July 4, 1937, to Gerald and Anita (Boyle) Tichenor in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Fairfax High School in Virginia. On Oct. 27, 1957, she married William Lindamood. Bonnie worked in the Fairfax County Public School system for 25 years. She also attended Virginia Tech majoring in home economics. She always had a smile on her face and was loved by all who met her, welcoming those who needed a home, hot meal or just a motherly hug with open arms. She became a “mom” and “grandma” to those whose hearts she touched with her kindness and generosity. Bonnie cherished her family above all else. She was a long-time member at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in South Bend.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Jerold Lindamood, Steven (Jeanne) Lindamood, Eric (Jodi) Lindamood, Jeffrey Lindamood and Deidre Lindamood; grandchildren, Amanda (David) Ferris, Timothy and Alexander Lindamood, Jacqueline (Joshua) Berndt and Jesse, Joseph, and Robert (Angela) Lindamood; great-grandchildren, Huxley and Neyland Berndt and sister, Nancy (Terrance) Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Anita Tichenor; husband, William Lindamood and great-grandson, Landon Lindamood.
