Wanda Libera, of Niles

Wanda Libera, 92, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, in Memorial Hospital.
Wanda was born June 27, 1926, in Kutno, Poland, to the late Felix and Theodosia (Majewski) Wojtczak.
In July 1959, Wanda married the love of her life, Alexander Libera, who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1983. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Danuta Lewandowski, and Camilla Wojtczak.
Survivors of Wanda include her son, Edward (Judy) Libera, of Niles, grandchildren, Christopher A. Libera, Andrew E. Libera, and Stephanie M. Hullinger; and a sister, Zofia Clapak.
Wanda was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She was an excellent Polish cook and cherished the traditional Polish holidays.
Wanda was an active volunteer at the Niles Senior Center and a Parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed early morning walks, reading and gardening.
A Visitation for Wanda will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend, with a Funeral Mass at 1 p.m.
